General Info
The Heritage & Nature Tour is a 3-day, 2-night journey designed to give first-time visitors and cultural explorers the best of Ghana in one trip. Day one stays in Accra, moving through the National Museum of Ghana, Makola Market, James Town, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Independence Square, and a photo stop at Osu Castle, before transferring west along the coast for an overnight stay at Paralia, Cape Coast.
Day two turns to the Central Region's most significant heritage sites: the Kakum National Park canopy walkway, suspended 30 metres above the rainforest, followed by Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle — two of West Africa's most powerful reminders of the transatlantic slave trade — and a stop at the Assin Manso Slave River Site, where captives were bathed before the final march to the coast. The group returns to Accra for the second night.
Day three shifts to nature in the Eastern Region: the Aburi Botanical Gardens and adjoining craft market on the Akuapem Ridge, the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm in Mampong — the birthplace of Ghana's cocoa industry — and a closing visit to the serene Asenema Waterfalls, before the return drive to Accra. Private transport collects you from your Accra hotel, apartment, or airport and handles the full round trip across all three days. All site entries, two nights' accommodation, a private live guide, and meals as listed are managed by Venue Tours Group. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended throughout.
