Kakum National Park is on the coast of southern Ghana, in West Africa. It protects an area of pristine tropical rainforest renowned for its rich biodiversity, home to endangered mammals such as forest elephants, bongo antelope, and primates like the Diana monkey. The park is rich in butterflies and birds, including African grey parrots and hornbills.
The park's signature experience is the Canopy Walkway, a series of suspension bridges suspended 30 metres above the ground that provide treetop views across the forest. Private transport collects you from your Accra hotel, apartment, or airport and handles the full round trip. Park entry, the canopy walkway fee, a private live guide, and breakfast are managed by Venue Tours Group. This is a full-day visit best paired with comfortable walking shoes and a head for heights.
